Oil cooler for all types of engine oil, axle oil, gearbox oil, and other transmission oils.

An oil cooler is a must on a tuned engine/drivetrain. With increased power output and stress or during aggressive driving, heat builds up and raises the oil temperature.

Examples include drifting, circuit racing, and rally, where all cars require an oil cooler due to high load and oil temperatures.

Oil line sizing

There is no universal answer for hose and fitting sizes. If you are unsure, start with AN8 as it is the most common. Factors that affect sizing include components connected in series with the oil cooler such as:

In the end, it’s about avoiding too much pressure drop between the inlet and outlet of the engine/drivetrain. Measure this before and after installation to be sure.
