Oil cooler for all types of engine oil, axle oil, gearbox oil, and other transmission oils.

An oil cooler is a must on a tuned engine/drivetrain. With increased power and load, or during aggressive driving, more heat is generated, resulting in higher oil temperatures.

Examples include drifting, circuit racing, and rally where all cars require oil coolers due to high stress and oil temperature.

Oil line sizing

There is no general answer for hose and fitting sizes. If you're unsure, start with AN8, which is the most common. Influencing factors include components connected in series with the oil cooler, such as:

Ultimately, the goal is to avoid too much pressure drop between the inlet and outlet on the engine/drivetrain. Measure this before and after installation to be sure.
